Overview

The Sokkia R4S-BT External Radio Modem is a versatile and cutting-edge UHF radio transceiver modem and offers the best RTK (Real-Time Kinematic) performance with the Sokkia GCX3 receiver and other third-party GNSS receivers. It supports wireless Bluetooth data transmission, extending the distance between an RTK base station and the rover’s communication up to 984 feet (300 m). When network connections are weak, this Sokkia UHF external radio modem provides the ideal answer. It has a serial interface as well as a radio interface with data rates of up to 115,200 bps (bits per second).
The Sokkia R4S-BT radio modem has an IP67 classification and is equipped with a water- and dust-resistant housing that is made to withstand harsh outdoor situations. It employs a rechargeable Li-ion battery that may last up to 20 hours in receive mode and 6 hours in broadcast mode. The R4S-BT, which weighs only 0.9 pounds (420 g), is light and convenient to mount, making it the ideal partner for a full day of surveying work.
