Sokkia Gammon Reel is used to suspend a plumb bob under a surveying instrument. It can also be used to suspend a plumb bob while offering a precise objective for positioning a surveying tool. When setting up and deploying a precise, clean plumb, use the Gammon line as a helper. Place the reel in your hand, move the bob to the desired location, and then stop it with your fingers. The thread is zipped back into the case by a steel clock spring.
