Overview

Sokkia 221840700 CP7 tubular compass, which is used with Sokkia total stations and theodolites, is fastened to a slot in the instrument carrying handle. The CP7 compass enables adjusting the device to the local magnetic north direction. A needle pivot, and a clamping screw are all part of the compass tube. A properly balanced free needle is horizontally aligned in the magnetic field. Viewed through a window, a pointer on the south end of the needle is positioned between two index lines.
